Mel and I joined Jim and Brooke for the first week of their 8 month trek through the woods, Europe, Asia, Australia and New Zealand. It was their first long hiking trip and Mel's as well. It was also my first long married trip. We got more heat and less rain than we had expected and hoped for, but the trip was a good one for all of us.
